You Are Welcome Here

Thinking of visiting Canon Baptist Church?

We'd be delighted to have you join us for one of our Sunday or Wednesday services.

Below you'll find directions to our church, worship service times, and frequently asked questions.

What’s the music like?

We think it is important to sing songs based on Scripture. We want our worship to be pleasing to the Lord, whether the song was written 500 years ago or last week.

We primarily sing hymns that the church has sung for generations and new songs that reflect the truths of Scripture.

Most of our singing is set to piano and organ, though we may use other instruments, too. We love to hear each other sing, so come add your voice to ours and lift it up!

Common Questions

What’s the preaching like?

We prioritize the preaching of God's Word when we gather. We want to hear what the Lord says to His church from the Scriptures.

Our pastor and guest speakers practice expository preaching, going verse by verse through portions of Scripture.

We believe Biblical preaching should teach and apply the main point of a scriptural text to the lives of the hearers.

2 Timothy 3:16:17
16 All Scripture is breathed out by God and profitable for teaching, for reproof, for correction, and for training in righteousness, 17 that the man of God may be complete, equipped for every good work.

What should I wear?

We are a simple people. Wear what makes you comfortable to present yourself to the Lord and before others. There is no expectation that visitors or members "dress up," or try to impress anyone.

When we gather for worship, we're coming together as God's people to enter his presence and adore Him.

You'll find our congregation to be dressed modestly, humbly, and comfortably.
