Erik Smith
Erik has served as the pastor of Canon Baptist since June, 2024. He was born and raised in central Georgia and came to faith in Christ at a young age through the ministry of Broad Street Baptist Church in Hawkinsville, GA. He graduated from the University of Georgia and The Southern Baptist Theological Seminary in Louisville, KY.
Erik and his wife Cara Lee live in Hart County with their three daughters. They fill their family time with farming, eating, and making music together.
He enjoys the sermons of Charles Spurgeon, Alistair Begg, and John Kimbell, and his favorite authors include Jerry Bridges, Tom Nettles, Augustine, and C.S. Lewis.

Evelyn has served Canon Baptist Church as our secretary for over a decade. In addition to Canon Baptist, she also faithfully supports the ministries of churches in the area, and she has served joyfully in various capacities for numerous churches for many decades.
She and her husband Mike live in nearby Royston, GA.
